We don't track or collect data other than subscriber mailing and email addresses to actually be able to send the magazines .

We don't sell ANY data to anybody else.

Welcome to the TECHNICAL RESCUE site, home of three PRINT titles, one Digital-only title, six Digital-only BUYERSGUIDES and, eventually, an extrication manual.  All of our titles concentrate on equipment and techniques (rather than news and policy which is well catered for in other industry magazines) with Gear Reviews, Market Guides and techniques articles. Details of each issue are on the SHOP page but to make things easier for the free pdf versions you can can just click on most front covers to get them rather than have to use the shopping cart. However, if you use the shopping cart we can then send you links to future issues automatically.

Brexit, Covid, climate catastrophes, energy/cost-of-living increases, an interest rates surge and the shameful invasion of Ukraine and a shockingly similar situation in Gaza have all adversely affected most aspects of life across the world, some very much worse than others. We have been fortunate in being largely unaffected having been able to shed unnecessary costs like the office ! but there are production delays and there have been big increases in costs. Otherwise, it's business as usual for us - we were never on time even before all this madness!

Because we now have 10 publications to produce

our print magazines are now 3 times per year instead of 4.

Regulars will know that we rarely get out more than 3 per year for any of the the magazine titles so you won't notice much of a change!

The PDF versions of all our magazines are currently FREE-to-ALL.

Click on the covers or Get them FREE via the SHOP if you want to receive

them automatically each issueYou are welcome to share these links

with friends and colleagues and via your websites and social media.

Mailing costs and reliability continue to be ridiculous and you can circumvent these by purchasing our magazines from a STOCKIST  currently in UK, USA, Canada, NZ, Belgium, Germany, Australia, Hong Kong,  We had to increase PRINT subscription costs in 2022 for the first time in a decade and now need to increase print subscription costs for 2024 following a whopping 200% increase in costs so print subscriptions will remain at US$25 but will now be for 3 issues instead of 4 and $40/6 issues (plus $5 & $10 post outside of the UK/Eire and USA/Canada0. Digital issues are free to all and any readers that make a purchase or simply request via email will get the digital version sent automatically each issue until you ask us to desist or your email changes! All readers will receive the active link to the annual BUYERS GUIDES which will be updated every week on the same link.

TECHNICALRESCUE  is the oldest international rescue magazine in the world having been published for over 30 years and is for emergency services (fire-rescue, police, tactical/military,  trauma doctors/ambulance, coastguard, medevac helicopters, swiftwater, beach rescue, disaster response, industrial and mines rescue teams). It covers Rope and Water Rescue, Extrication, USAR, ParaRescue, Tactical intervention and EMS. We have recovered some Digital Back issues (39,40,41,46 so far) and we have limited PRINT back issues from 1 to 64  at $3.50/ £2.50 each. Email for details. Issues 8,9, 12,13, 16,19,21,23,26,28 NOT AVAILABLE

ARBCLIMBER is for professional arborists and forestry workers but also recreational tree climbers. Editorial concentrates on climbing, rigging and rescue plus climbing competitions form around the world. We look in details at all equipment from ropes, hardware, harnesses and helmets to chainsaws, power tools, battery tools, boots, clothing and first-aid/rescue eqpt. Issues 1,2 &4 no longer available in print except for a handful of 'collector's' copies of 1 & 4 recently found & just added.

WILDERNESSSAR originally called  PARKRANGER pre-issue 5. The title was changed to better reflect the coverage which, while including National Parks was thought by many to be exclusively for National Park rangers. It is the same magazine covering Wilderness Search & Rescue, Mountain and Cave Rescue, SAR Helicopters, Search Dog handlers, offshore marine rescue and National Parks personnel. Rope, search and water rescue techniques/equipment form the core of every issue. Also search techniques, heli-ops, trauma, offshore (lifeboats) rescue and surviving in the great outdoors inc. modern clothing, packs, tents, boots and electronics.

ACCESS&RESCUE is our FREE  Emag provides background to all the print magazines as well as rope and difficult access. Now presented in the same Page-turning format that digital subscribers to the print magazines get. If viewing on a Mobile it is best to click the cloud/download icon to sharpen the image and present as single page view. This larger file can take a short while to sharpen.

ACCESS&RESCUE emag  previews what's been in and is coming up in the magazines. It has unique and archive articles and product information.

ACCESS&RESCUE is out twice a year free-to-all.

Shameful attacks on civilians, civilian infrastructure and even hospitals and medical personnel in, first Ukraine then Israel and now Gaza must surely be prosecuted by the United Nations, if not this regular series of atrocities then what use is the UN?  Our best wishes to the people of Ukraine and to civilians in Gaza and Israel and to all emergency  and rescue personnel including some of our own contributors, friends  and advisors providing medical, rescue and humanitarian assistance  in Ukraine and Gaza.

EXTRICATION :  Scoop and Run     was right all along?

Recently published research in the  Scandinavian Journal of Trauma, from by a team led by NHS (UK) Emergency Medicine Consultant Dr Tim Nutbeam, indicated that casualties who remained (trapped) in the  crashed vehicle for an extended time were almost twice as likely to die as those who were rapidly extricated. Fire and ambulance  trainers and  operational personnel have acknowledged for some time that concerns with eliminating almost all spinal movement, was prolonging casualty  time on scene while sufficient space was being  created . In TR issue 82, extrication specialists Richard Denham and Nick Appleton take a look at the main points of all three reports, to see what implications their practical advocacy and application might have for fire and ambulance services in future. This is particularly timely as our original extrication manual 'Crash Rescue' has been completely rewritten and re-photographed to concentrate on the rapid extraction of casualties rather than cut and spread techniques which have been covered well in other manuals from Holmatro and Lukas. EXTRICATION from Cars & Truck Cabs   is now complete and has started being compiled for repro prior to printing in late 2023.
